Our History In The Community
The American Bank was established in 1923 when the Stuart Family purchased the Liberty National Bank. The American Bank moved to the S.S. Cobb Building in 1980. This building was the first permanent brick building in Wagoner, the first Incorporated Town in Indian Territory. The Cobb building opened for business on April 6, 1895.
With offices conveniently located at the corner of Cherokee Street and Main Street in Wagoner, the bank offers a friendly atmosphere and modern facilities to assist you with all types of banking needs.
The American Bank is strong in its Capital accounts, as our Statement of Condition shows. The Bank’s Officers and Staff are local citizens and actively involve themselves in the life of the community.
The Officers and Staff are dedicated to providing the finest personal service available to its customers and visitors to the area. The American Bank is proud to be an independent community bank. We are here to serve you at The American Bank.
